Recipe for Smoked Pork Shoulder
The biggest thing to remember is don’t RUSH IT! This is low slow process for best results. It will literally be falling off the bone and your guest will love it.
In a small bowl combine mustard, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix together and slather on the pork shoulder on all sides.
After preparing meat place it on the smoker fat side up for 8-10 Hours until internal temperature reaches 195 Degrees.
Once the meat has reached 195 remove from the smoker and wrap in tinfoil. Allow the meat to rest for 1 hour, (I like to put it in a cooler to rest), but it is fine to leave it on a countertop.
After 1 hour you can pull apart the meat or slice it, whichever you prefer.
