BANANA BREAD

Delicious Banana Bread

I hate to waste food.  Have you ever walked through the market with your children or husband and the want to buy something you know they will not eat?  But you buy it anyway with the warning you better eat this.

Several days later…there is sits…ready to be thrown out.  Not every over rip thing can be reimagined, but the banana can.

After you make this recipe you will never let another over ripe banana go to waste.

Let’s turn those ugly bananas into delicious banana bread!

Another cool thing about over rip bananas is that they freeze beautifully.  If you don’t have the time at the moment to bake, toss them in the freezer and use them later.

Banana bread is great any time of day.  It makes a yummy snack with a cup of coffee, a sweet treat at lunch, or as dessert with ice cream after dinner.

How to Make Banana Bread

Well, first you are going to need some bananas.  There a lot of variations of banana bread.  Many recipes include nuts.  I do like to add nuts however this recipe does not call for them for 2 reasons.

Number 1: nuts are pricy.  I try to keep my recipes tasty and budget friendly.  Excluding the nuts definitely keeps the cost down.

Number 2: I like my recipes to be family friendly.  A lot of children do not care for nuts in baked goods.

If you like nuts, go for it.  Just toss a 1 cup of pecan or walnuts right in and mix it up.  It will be delicious.
