Creamy Blue Cheese Filling

My daughter does not care for blue cheese and yet she loves this recipe!  The blue cheese flavor is mild.  You can alter this recipe to make it a stronger blue flavor by increasing the amount of blue cheese.

  • Gently remove the cupped patty from the bowl and with a spoon add 2 Tablespoons of the blue cheese filling.

  • Place another flat patty on top of the filled patty and pinch the edges.

  • In a cast iron skillet or pan drizzle vegetable oil and heat to medium. Once pan is hot add filled burger.

(Some filling may leak, don't worry there is plenty still inside).

  • I prefer my burger to be medium well (an internal temperature of 150 degrees).

  • Place on bun and add toppings such as: spiced mayo, bacon, lettuce, more blue cheese.

  • FILLING:

Combine mayo, cream, blue cheese, garlic powder, pepper and cream in a bowl and mix together.  It does not have to be a perfectly smooth mixture.  Chunky is fine.
